  1. that girl is giving me whiplash , i feel like screaming MAKE UP YOUR FRAKKING MIND ALREADY sheesh pffffits like they make her say or do what they think is necessary to make the plot advance or create uneccesary rift with her uncle even though it seems illogical ,kill he ralready , her brother on the other hand apart from his stupid move in pilot that got his dad kill has been steadily improving !there comes a time in an actor life where he achieves cult status and is known by his character's name HEY JACOB nice surprise seeing you pop up in this post-apocalyptic world !OT: i love seeing joffrey get slapped
  2. going movies back then was near impossible alike to going away the better option was to rent a videotape, the old theatre had 2 screens and so most of the films i saw them a year later on HBO or another cable channel but i do remember seeing 2 of my favorite films of that year on screen "clueless" and "sense and sensibilty" best 1995 films i saw on tv after before sunrise (i flove that movie so much) outbreak (great thriller, i still like to watch it) circle of friends (absolutely love it , minnie driver gain weight for this role way before renee zelwegger ever thought of it plus beautiful soundtrack i fell in love with credits song "you're the one" sung by shane MacGowan and maire brennan) while you were sleeping(love sandra bullock) basketball diaries (leo improving by leaps in his choices) little princess(awesome kid movie ) casper apollo 13(or how they made outstanding drama out of a fail mission to the moon the tension was crazy) il postino (actually saw this about 3 yrs later in my italian class in high school) a walk in the clouds( love me a romantic film) desperado( ay papi banderas he was smoking and film was badass too) seven (agree its one of the best but i can't watch that film again it upsetted me to no end that killer was THE psychopath) war of the buttons persuasion(i'm a jane austen addict hello!) scarlet letter(i'm very fond of period films) total eclipse(leonardo left me speechless might have been my first exposure to seeing two guys kiss) leaving las vegas( when nicholas cage actually showed his acting chops) ace ventura when nature calls(the kind of movie where you laughed silly everytime you see it) the american president(awww) sabrina(how can i not its my name ) waiting to exhale dead man walking(one of susan sarandon best perf') twelve monkeys(best scifi of the yr) as for toy story i didnt see it until toy story 3 came out made me cry and so i rented the first 2 to see if they were as good and they sure are special mention for "showgirls" as worst film of 1995 i was still not over save by the bell and could not reconcile the character jessie with this skimpy clad woman! plus film was really bad anyway
  3. arbitrage(great performance by richard gere)deathly hallows part 2 (still convinced books are better, movies have yet to make me cry)dark shadows (i actually thought it was ok but i've yet to see a burton/depp film i don't like and think is crazy awful)the avengers(this is so so rewatchable)booty call (still can't get over how young jamie foxx is in this or the clothing style of 1997)
  4. yeah don't agree with ben affleck on that list!and sometimes those DTV films even if awful (i'm looking at you syfy) sadly pay the billsthe way i see it hollywood is a pool and its over-saturated with fish, only a chosen few get invited to the jacuzzi
  5. very interesting film, i give it an A because i love richard gere and he really gives dept to this role and carries the film from beginning to end, there were a few clichés but they didnt take away from my entertainment , its not the subject matter so much as how you tell it /your take on a good old wall street occurence! the businessmen were pretty cynic throughout see and don't see magic trick ... in the end they all got what they wanted and as long as they gained the rest didnt matter ! the wife i thought was nice but then she turns out to be just as cynic and greedy as the rest, just because he hurt your daughter your taking him to the cleaners in a divorce while previously she was happy to turn an eye, ahh go figure one's moral highground and limits pfff i was happy that as cold conniving and having a powerful sense of survival and self-preservation gere's character genuinely cared about his driver's kid and was willing to come clean to get him out of trouble....after all the kid only did him a favor police wasn't above reproach either in this film , a case of being black and in wrong place means its ok to screw with him to get a bigger fish not cool and totally OT richard gere is still HOT that flock of hair hmmmmmm,.... ok ok movie was a solid A good acting good pace good directing and use of ny city i also give it an A because its that good compare to say wall street 2 which bored me out of my mind still don't know how i force myself to watch that till the end!
  6. That premiere went by so fast, i was miffed it was over already, the pace was crazy!
  7. anyone watched "666 park avenue"? i thought it was ok , i'm not into horror shows or films usually stay away so i don't think i'll keep watching it! but i hope it works out because i like terry o'quinn and vanessa williams...so good luck to them
  8. i just watched episode 7 of season2 and jaw-dropping at what went down that guy has a short fuse hello! yeah the barn situation required a rapid solution but at same time the group came unto this guy's property and now are imposing on his good-will, i'm of a mind they should find their own little hole to call a home!
  9. i certainly hope it lasts at least three more seasons, if bones can get an 8th season i don't see why castle can't...plus castle is fun ,with a fun cast!all abc needs to do is get a better group of wannabes for its dancing thingy(its all about casting or how to refresh a very old formula)
  10. i know this is the case alas! i was just ranting because its amazing how many shows get the axe doing well in total viewers but how dare they fail the all important demo bar tsk tskright now i'm just over the moon some tin man suit over at FOX found a heart in time and was willing to save fringe for a fifth season and what a premiere it was...loved it!
  11. andy stitzer 2 , you should def see "there will be blood" awesome movie, great directing!
  12. MEGAPLEX7 CARIBBEAN CINEMAS wednesday 26th resident evil (latest one) i have no idea what number it is9.30pm showing about 80% full( stadium like theatre)as usual (more often than not) we missed the trailers but came in just as mila jojovich name appeared on screen...i was most curious about how michelle rodriguez character could be alive in this one when i pretty sure she died in the firstfirst five minutes told me all i needed to know about this latest effort in the series, i have to admit i enjoyed this one much more than the previous one which i had seen in 3D post newness of avatar 3D bubble that was still surfing highthere was more action and thrills(moments where i jumped in surprise at zombie appearing out of nowhere to attack someone) being surprise while eating popcorn is too funny ,as you jump popcorn goez everywhere and my friend and i look at each other and laugh!, it wasn't boring ,i had fun, my friend admired alice cool fighting skills/move !they'll never leave milla jojovich forget her fifth element character naked/with tapes entrance into being!the only thing that truly bothered me was how zombies can be alive under syberian temp water and ice? maybe i'm confusing them with what i read in world war Z oh and another thing that i had already notice in previous entry how long can a zombie live before they rot for good, even virus need sustenance...that last shot was hilarious....this movie truly felt like a video game! it is what it is.so entertainment wise i give it a 7/10
  13. funny its the sister charlie i can't stand , this second episode was ok but gah that girl is a walking contradiction make up your mind already at times she acts like she has no clue what's been going on for past 15 yrs, i literally clapped when her uncle snapped that dude's neck the second time he had chance to kill him pfff for a sec i thought she was going to get him kill just like the brother got the dad killed pffffffffffffffffffffffffffflashbacks were a drag, i'm suppose to believe the father couldnt take on one on one the guy trying to steel the kiddy stroller of foods and why would someone with a usb attack another usb carrier ???? how many factions are there and if there are so many usb around it makes the object lose its mystery, clearly the free masons are behind this and are living in an underground fortress with electricity galore
  14. i've made my schedule for tv this fall and most of my shows are on sunday monday thursday and friday , other days i'm free as a bird until i figure out where psych new season will land prob wednesday but who knows! sundays are cray-crayzee full: boardwalk/homeland/once upon a time/walking dead/revenge mondays: bones / castle and i've decided to give revolution a few episodes before i decide i care or not thursdays: vampire diaries and scandal fridays: fringe and community(beyond relieved fringe got renewed even if for a shorter final season) as for the newbies apart from revolution i'll give a chance to 666park avenue on abc (i think) and emily owens on the CW and i'm not positive they'll still be on my radar come xmas break
  15. ok first no one has commented since me season 4 finale was awesome hellooooo....and by the way so was season 5 premiere which was the awaited morning after two : i finally gave in to bones ,watched rest of season 6 and subsequent yet short season 7 back to back, i hadnt realize how much i miss hodgins and angela relationship , kinda meh about booth and brennan still but its gonna take a while for me to get over the bad taste in my mouth left by cheery blondie gf booth came back so in love with from afghanistan or irak pfff
  16. i was all happy after watching castle premiere episode but then made mistake going on tvbythenumbers site to read comments and you'd think castle did super awful , it was the most watched show in its time slot yet that means peanuts because of stupid demo which was still better than hawaii5o !i just don't get why some people are so eager to spell doom and gloom after one episode! castle is in its fifth season give it a breather sheesh (and still pulling in an average of 10 million viewers not to mention its pretty popular in france and regularly wins its time slot on french tv who do take into account total viewers as we do not show ads during scripted showsthe only revolution has going for it is that there are no dinosaurs weighing down on the budget!as for hawaii i've yet to finish watch season 1 so s2/3 ????pffff
  17. happy for homeland, very intense storytelling, i actually believed for a moment the marine was innocent he was that convincing so the truth was o.Oh!(even if i agree GOT and BB were deserving winners too) ....
  18. i love it, its still one of my best premieres memories at the cinema!it was a special preview 2viewings on a wednesday night before the weekend opening (saw it in french) and i got my ticket bought it the day before and guy told me i was lucky as this viewing had few seats left and the other one was full, it was super fun there was a buzzing as we waited to enter and once the logo came on the whole room went quiet at the end film was met with thunderous applause to quote padme!it was the experience(film&audience sharing) as a whole, and realizing this was it the end of the saga ,and now anakin skywalker arc was truly over...
  19. imdb is having a field day with this show...they're like happy piranhas on easy prey ! we'll see next week how it goessometimes suspending one's belief is hard work when you're not sold on the premise...funny enough zombies which are even more hypothetical of an occurence i have no problem getting how the world would go to hell in no time
  20. just watched it, and i have to agree the girl playing charlie is mehhh at best, the brother ughhh is he dumb? what else could explain drawing a bow against armed militia men? i cannot stand when teens are portrayed as lacking judgement and common sense to point he gets his father killed STUPID( your father tells you to stand down and you don't listen seriously pffff) plus he has asthma pffffreally reminded me of terra nova and i don't know if that's a good thing, i can only hope they'll learn from that show early demise!another thing annoying me the father give his usb to his friend why won't the friend mention this to the brother who single-handedly took on a militia wouldn't you trust him ,seeing as how monroe is looking for both him and his brother(now dead) and who else rolled their eyes at the conflicted potential boyfriend who turns them in but still wants to be her hero? (sorry i join the militia first but now i've met you i just don't know anymore dilemma dilemma??!!)i'll watch but not getting involved or attached don't trust networks anymore and yeah this has on the bubble status already...but i love billy burke and i still don't understand how all the lights went out a virus or EMP device?and if the father had some inkling this might happen why not stock up on water and other goods beforehand, it was so ridiculous when he told his wife full up the sink and tubfirst impression so far: not impressed but will givie it a few episodes to gain my interest....ok and if someone was able to create /discover electricity once ,what exactly is stopping them from doing it again, i need opinion of an electrician or engineer who understands what i'm trying to convey...
  21. hugh jackman or joaquin phoenix would make my day ,but i have a soft spot for phoenix he's got such a great consistency career wise, kinda reminds me of christian bale in their dedication to their craft and the way they inhabit a role!not a fan of DDL but after seeing films he won for , i'd be a hypocrite if i didnt admit it was a worthy performance and that oscar wasn't robbed
  22. CARIBBEAN CINEMAS MEGAPLEX 79.30pmEXPENDABLES 2movie was great entertainment i mean they don't waste a second diving into non-stop action! there were some great lines and the guest-stars were awesome , when chuck norris appeared we cheared, arnold had the best line "we belong in a museum too" LMAO it really was a genius idea to get all these guys together, was the chinese woman from crouching tiger hidden dragon? she looked familiar, jean-claude van damme was a blast from the past! the young guy couldnt place him until at an angle i recognized him as chris hemsworth, by the credits i found out i had the wrong brother :)seriously though the gore is off the chart ,heads were flying so fast , you hardly could blink!an 8/10 it delivers as promise and well i like the concept, heck i even wondered if chuck norris wasnt dead already(happy he isnt) so great nostalgia factor!
  23. from what i've read there's about 10% of french population that's black but can't be sure as the gvt does not profile citizen origin you're right it could just be that! but in which case the distributors are operating on false premises, if they think there's not a market and french distributors cater to that belief then why are so many onlines communities being vexed by this continued situation and feel left outthere's a reason why i don't watch black comedies or just american comedies in general in french , the translation is a fail;but then i rather watch any film in its original language !i guess i just felt outrage for all those people , mostly i had no idea this was going on...so maybe my reaction is a bit exxagerated!
