I wasn't planning on seeing this and I still won't see it now. But the chains should have kept it in theaters from the get-go; if ppl lived their lives in fear then no one would ever leave the house.

Main reason I'm going to see it if available in Florida.

I really wouldn't be surprised if within the next week or so that major chains start showing the film as well.

No, it's playing for at least a whole week. I guess they'll wait and see if the major chains will cave into showing it (all this fallout stuff will be swept under a rug as if it never happened if they do).

If this would've been released wide after all controvery, this wouldve done tons of money on opening weekend, 2nd weekend -80% drop.

Alamo Drafthouse is mainly in Texas, they have released their full showing list, other theaters haven't yet.

The closest to me it is showing is 2 hours away in St. Louis.

If Sony is smart, they won't release this online and wait and see what this does in limited release. Sometime tells me that PTA can be insanely high. Hell, this could open with 250 theaters and end up the number one film of the weekend.

A crappy Seth Rogen movie being released is probably not the biggest piece of news in the world.

Borat did a $31,607 PTA in 837 locations in November 2006. If The Interview manages 1/4 the number of theaters and scores the same PTA, that would be an opening between $6-7M for the weekend, which doesn't sound like a stretch at this point.
