IW utterly and completely obliterated the previous OW record for a hollywood movie. It opened to 18.1m dollars which is about 1.3m more than AoU’s entire total

BB2 official figure currently shud have increased a bit more OS as it released in quite a few markets like Japan.

Indian Market is bigger than we think Average Ticket Prices are less due to which grosses tend to look small but if u consider footfalls then you will get the real picture. 

to me, any market that are capable of delivering USD100m gross from single film needs extra care....and india, I started to notice the potential of the market since 3 idiots, but it is only in recent year, I was amazed after one-two punch from dangal and baahubali 2. And now, the growing craze has started spread to hollywood film in india too

 

Too bad, titanic will never had that experience...

Avengers - Infinity War is heading for historic collections on Monday with collections which are set to be around 24 crore nett. They could go even higher in the morning as the film could outperform in the South. the drop will be around 20-25% from Friday which is phenomenal. 

 

The film was doing huge occupancy over the weekend which was on par with Bahubali - The Conclusion and when occupancy is high there is a good chance of a strong hold but this hold is more than just strong. The ticket rates were held over weekend rates and a holiday in some places also gave the film a boost.

 

The total collections over the first four days will be around 118 crore nett and a 170-175 crore nett first week total is there for the taking depending on the next few days. The film is going to be the highest Hollywood grosser in India by a distance and if the film goes on like this for another 2-3 days and it could even be setting itself up for the first 300 crore nett grosser in India from Hollywood.

Avengers: Infinity War' box office collection Day 4: Marvel's multi-starrer film crosses Rs 100 crore mark

According to a recent report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the action film which had a great opening of Rs 31.33 crore, and followed by Rs 30.25 crore and Rs 32.75 crore on weekend simultaneously, has further raked in another Rs 20.50 crore（Is this the monday gross?）, which has taken its total to a staggering Rs 114.83 crore

Thats the nett figure. The actual gross is close to 150 by Monday or about $22m USD

Today was better than yesterday for AIW in Bangalore. 

 

Right from morning till night shows bookings were excellent. Morning occupancies were close to 60-70% on average which is double of yesterdays morning shows. 11AM - 9PM ruled roost most of them going full. 

 

IMAX continued its amazing run today as well. 20/20 fulls till date and from day 1 its 100/100 fulls!!!  Tomorrow im expecting a break in this count. Maybe 17-18 shows full. Hope audiences prove me wrong.

 

4DX - 8/8 fulls from 2 theaters

Avengers - Infinity War Is Rock Steady On Tuesday

Avengers - Infinity War remained rock steady om Tuesday with collections in the 20 crore nett range which took its tally to a huge 135 crore nett apprx in five days. There was again a partial holiday on Tuesday which helped the collections in some parts of the country.

 

 

The partial holiday on Monday helped collections in the North and Cenreal India markets while on Tuesday it was West and South which got a boost due to the partial holiday. Thew film is now sure to be the highest grossing film ever not to be released on the major holidays as it sails pas the 200 crore nett mark. The 300 crore nett mark cannot be written of yet but it will depend on the fall today and more crucially where the second Friday lands.

 

 

The first four day collections of Avengers - Infinity War are as follows

 

 

Friday - 31,33,00,000

 

 

Saturday - 30,25,00,000 apprx

 

 

Sunday - 32,75,00,000 apprx

 

 

Monday - 20,50,00,000 apprx

 

 

Tuesday - 20,00,00,000 apprx

 

 

 

TOTAL - 1,34,83,00,000 apprx

AIW had slowed a bit today. Morning shows were registering 20-30% occupancies some recording more than half. While the real growth has come from evening shows. PS looks good. Few fulls but mostly 70-80%. Overall good day considering its a working day and last long weekend of the summer is over! 

 

IMAX continues its amazing run and finally it had a break today. 18/20 fulls. Night shows are already full with some having 10-15 seats left. 

4DX 8/8 fulls today. PS for tomorrow looks very good 7/8 shows are 90% full while one is 70-80% full. It will record 56/56 fulls for the week!

Avengers - Infinity War Has First Drop Since Release

Avengers - Infinity War had its first drop since release as it grossed 11.50-12 crore nett on Wednesday. |The film had partial holidays on Monday and Tuesday so a 20-25% drop was a given on Wednesday but here the ticket pricing went to normal weekday rates which added to the drop. Normally this would happen on a Monday.

 

 

Despite the drop the film is still doing huge business as a near 12 crore nett total is excellent for a Wednesday and only one Hollywood release apart from Infinity War has managed this total on its first day and here its day six. The collections will stabalise on day seven and the first week should be around 157 crore nett. Then it will be second Friday which will tell where the film will go. It will be the highest grossing Hollywood film in India and go past the 200 crore nett mark but how much further can it go.

 

 

The first four day collections of Avengers - Infinity War are as follows

 

 

Friday - 31,33,00,000

 

 

Saturday - 30,25,00,000 apprx

 

 

Sunday - 32,75,00,000 apprx

It is upto $28.3m USD and should be more than 30 going into the weekend. This weekend I also expect it to pass Jungle Book and take the #1 spot of highest grossing foreign movie.

I don't know how it works in India but most drops in US are +50% ather holiday easly +50%.

Infinity War has crossed $30m USD in its first week (seven days)! Thats close to the entire run of Spiderman homecoming, Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther in just one week. 

 

IW grossed about ₹97.3m lc ($1.46m usd) which is about a 17% drop from yesterday. Its total has now crossed 2 billion in local currency ($30.12m usd). It is about $9m usd behind The Jungle Book which is the highest grossing hwld movie of all time here. IW should overtake it this weekend I think

IW grossed about a ₹100m lc or $1.5m dollars on Friday. Total is upto $31.5m usd. 

 

As you will note Friday is lower than Thursday which is normal here. It will overtake TJB this weekend or Monday at the latest unless it drops more than I am expecting. I doubt it has much competition even in its 3rd week so it should have a nice run
