Yeah Tax is 18%, in some places like Tamil Nadu its around 38% for Hollywood due to local taxes.

 

Overall it comes around 20-22%.

 

But the big variable here is 3D charges and I am not fully sure on those. I believe the reported numbers are excluding 3D charges, which can take the Gross 30% higher than Nett.

To add to that number, bulk of the business was driven by South India. If North India and Mumbai was firing on same cylinder, it would have done 60+ NETT. The south are very passionate film goers for big films.

But @charlie Jatinder said that gross was 50cr and 53 with 3D so I think 44 is nett. Maybe they just updated the numbers
