lol, new record. Though not a great record to have, it is pretty impressive cause Labor Day Sunday is supposed to diminish frontloadedness, yet here it is in front of these Easter weekend movies and Twilight/HP

One Direction had a bigger OW here than movies like Man of Steel, GI Joe 2, Wolverine, Die Hard 5, Oz and Now You See Me  I am not proud of this.

Wait a minute wasn’t Jobs supposed to have done really well in your country?

I went to Box Office Mojo, and apparently it could only settle for fifth place with an opening weekend of 115, 986.

People were expecting half of that. It had a small marketing campaign and a limited number of screens.

Thanks.Odd though, I distinctly remembering you mentioning that it was selling out, although I suppose a lack of theaters did hurt it.

Yes, it was selling out on Thursday and Friday because it was on smaller screens. They switched it to bigger screens on Saturday and passed MI and P&G to the smaller ones. It lost a lot of tickets sold on Thursday and Friday because of that.
