I was expecting Rush to make more money but I guess it's my fault for underestimating Olivia Wilde's box office track record. She should make a movie with Taylor Kitsch, maybe they would cancel each other and the movie would become a big hit.

Enough Said is the winner of the weekend. It should have a very solid run for a specialty movie. Still somewhat surprised Cloudy 2 opened behind HT.

True. Yet she's been the leading lady in a lot of movies. I don't watch House M.D. but it is obviously a very popular television show and she was on it for years. Pretty lady and she must have a hell of an agent.

Well, to be fair, she looks exactly like her character in Rush did in real life, so I get why she got this part.

It's strange. I have seen lots of people saying that KFP2 was great, some asserting it was better than the first one.

 

But I've also seen not a few people telling that it sucked....

Extremely disappointed with Cloudy 2's numbers. It should be doing a lot better.

Oh, and hoping Prisoners stays at #2 with actuals, if just for the Casino

A year ago I would of predicted Cloudy 2 to do around 30M, but after Hotel's OW and the high predictions it seemed likely it would do better.But when this was first announced I didn't think it would do as good considering the fact Cloudy felt like a stand alone film.

3d share for Meatballs 1 was 60% but only 28% for 2. That means it can sell more tickets but barely make more. This could be a problem with Dragon 2 as well

I think had Cloudy been released a year ago, I think it would done a bit better, 4 years is too long a gap between films but still a solid result for Sony and it'll crack $100m for sure.

 

I think Sony will likely have a film that will break the OW record for September in the next four yeaes, I'm thinking it'll be either The Equalizer or Hotel Transylvania 2 although if Popeye manages to be released in 2016 or 2017, that has the potential to be a hit.
