I liked the Conjuring, but the casting of Ron Livingston killed the horror for me (no fault of him or the movie).

 

The moment I realized that it was Livingston, I started thinking of "Office Space" and could not get scared of the happenings on screen. It was a very distracting casting - for me at least. The initial "Annabelle" scene was scary though. They are giving away Annabelle dolls as prizes in the DVD contests - I wonder who would want that freaky doll in their house.
