Did it expand well?  It's still half the PTA as Precious at the same point with fewer theaters.

Precious had great first 4 weeks but it completely collapsed on the 5th weekend while I expect 12 YaS to continue to play well into next year.

It could have expanded better, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna have a longer life in theaters than Precious, which essentially burned out by mid-December and ended up earning 95% of its total gross before the Oscar nominations were announced.

From HSX..."A few factors to look at...Precious and 12SLV started in 18 and 19 theaters their first weekends. Precious then expanded to 174 while 12SLV

Posted by: Paul2k on Oct 26, 09:33 in response to thatpj's post Fri-Fri % drop in line with Precious (67%) but total...

is only in 123. 12SLV started off much weaker (basically half of Precious's 1st weekend), held weaker during the week (Precious had a nice Veteran's Day bump on it's first Wednesday), and seems to be starting off its 2nd weekend in slightly worse shape. In about 50% less theaters than Precious, it is estimated to have done 1/3 of Precious's bo on their second Fridays (1.9 mil to .62 mil)."

Those weekend numbers are way off. Counselor isnt going to fall 65% on Sunday and EP is going to fall closer to 52% than 57%. Gravity is off same with Phillips. Someone lost their calculator.
