TLK
What do you base that on?Not that I'm saying you're wrong. Just that I've only seen him in Tron, and based on Tron...zzzzz.Though on a more humerous note, my buddy used to sell Mr Hedlund weed. He is great in On The Road. It is an impossible role to pull off in an unadaptable movie but he did a really good job. Tron is just not a good movie to judge his performance. Not even Jeff Bridges did well in that movie. Country Strong is another movie where the quality of movie held him back. Edited January 23, 2014 by TLK

TimmyRiggins
Yeah, people, watch On The Road, and then you'll know how truly great Hedlund is. Hell, even the rest of his body of work is excellent (Death Sentence, Four Brothers, Country Strong, etc, etc), he has charisma in spades and is truly talented. acab
He didn't have to do much but he was good in Inside Llewyn Davis.

Fancyarcher
Every bits of news I read about this just makes me more dismissive of the project. Joe Wright's involvement makes me cautious of the project as a whole (no offense to any of his fans, but Joe Wright movies can be slow), although very interested at the same time. Dementeleus
No particular offense directed at Wright (some of his films I've liked, some I haven't), I'm just sick and tired of "re-imaginings" in general.

I agree to some extent. I like some reimaginings, and some I don't like.
AniNate
Wright's the epitome of "artsiness for artsiness' sake". It's like he actively tries to make his films less accessible.

Jack Nevada
The headlines will be "Pan gets PANNED by critics!" Hyuck hyuck hyuck!
Chewy
Given how much I care about a new Pan movie (ie not at all) I couldn't care less about faithfulness whatsoever. Be nice if it's good but I'm struggling to care.Oddly enough though, Hook? That shit is my jam. BadAtGender
Will this move now that ANT-MAN releases on the same day? Yeah. I'm wondering if it shuffles again to the old Ant-Man slot.

kayumanggi
This can move to July 24th, imo. I'm more excited for this than ANT-MAN to be honest.

McNerdy
This movie picked my curiosity. I have a soft spot for pirates, especially Blackbeard. Maybe I'll see this movie depending on upcoming news. If they make it too childish then I'll probably skip it, I hope they go for a darker retelling.
