The Hateful Eight | Out NOW in Digital and 70mm | 187 minutes long including a 12 minutes intermission

The intermission seems annoying. Taking those 12 minutes out it doesn't even hit 3 hours, so I really don't think it was necessary. I don't think modern audiences will even know what the hell to do with an intermission. Probably those that don't like the first half will just leave.

Same. I've had lots of doubts with it, but still not ruling out it being another fantastic QT effort either.

QT's always been an indulgent director by nature so that doesn't really tell us much, but I've no idea what to think about that Salo comparison. I think the film being in largely one setting plays to Tarantino's strengths more than the sweeping revisionism of his last two offerings.

Though I wish more critics would simply state if H8 made their top 4 Tarantino movies. That would tell me everything I need to know.

I can't wait for this. Though I do hope Tarantino goes back making more straightforward crime dramas after this. Sick of the over the top revenge fantasy. That said I will be seeing this in 70mm Christmas weekend.

3+ hours seems way to long unless this is going to be more like an old Western Epic but with more violence.

Pulp Fiction's runtime always breezes by for me. I could watch that movie again anytime.
