Dementeleus
King Kong is a 10/10 2-hour film stretched into a 7/10 3-hour film. Yep. In other words, it's a Hobbit movie.

filmnerdjamie
KONG was the beginning of Jackson's complete over-exploration/digression with things he loves. I love his King Kong. But that is absolutely true.
Dementeleus
I love his King Kong. But that is absolutely true. That's basically how I feel about his Hobbit endeavors. If I cared about Middle-Earth less, or Kong more, I'd probably flip the two.
redfirebird2008
KONG was the beginning of Jackson's complete over-exploration/digression with things he loves. Started earlier than that. ROTK never ends.
a2k
KK and AUJ lost Jackson some female audience, and that showed in DOS demographics even though they added Legolas and Tauriel.
Ozymandias
Started earlier than that. ROTK never ends. There is nothing wrong with the ending of RotK. It perfectly wrapped up all the characters. Ending the movie 5 minutes after Barad-Dur collapsed would've been retarded and felt incomplete. Dementeleus
Started earlier than that. ROTK never ends. ROTK: EE.... yes. ROTK: TE, no (although personally there are some exceedingly minor adjustments I would make to the wrap-up -- namely, using a dissolve in one or two places instead of a fade.)
