Really hope composer changes for A3. When you end up reusing OST from previous film for some of the big moments, it's a terrible sign. As much as I really liked it, OST was just so generic which is unacceptable to me. Horner left big shoes to fill and they most certainly did not fill them.

No. Variable HFR is perfect and the only people complaining are a vocal minority that should never be listened to (THERES A REASON THIS IS BETTER RECEIVED THAN THE HOBBIT METHOD), Because if they listen to them then it will be the soap opera effect while variable framerate is applied to specific scenes that enhance it. You dont know what you are wishing, Sure that if they do it HFR completly you would complain dialogue looks unnatural like a soap opera.

I personally enjoy HFR and would've like to see as much of the movie in HFR. Honestly I'd be fine if they specifically kept shots of just people talking 24 fps. But the frame rate changes between action shots many times here. But again, out of my friend group, I'm the only one who even registered the frame rate changes so I guess it doesn't matter for most people. But that begs the question, what's the point of HFR if most of the population doesn't see it (I mean most people also leave motion smoothing on)?

Supposedly it helps with motion sickness, though I don't think my screening was HFR and I had none of it anyway. In fact was a bit worried since I hadn't seen a film in 3D in like 10 years and I wear glasses too now which doesn't help.

Kayom India biggest opening of pandemic era!. 

I feel Japan will give us some good numbers in the weeks to come as well my brother.

 

Domestic estimates: Sat 43-48M. 135-144m OW

 

Hope its higher in actuals. Lets see what Sunday holds too. Ow2 gunning for 95-114m I'm feeling.

I don't really get how overseas is worse - this is still looking at something like 66% share of the weekend coming from OS or something like that, which likely would've been something more like 73% had China not been in such a poor status, and even higher than that if the weekend wasn't world cup deflated.

 

There are definitely some disappointing markets (Japan is the obvious one, China is covid ravaged plus a few more lower than expected but still fine numbers) but the numbers are strong overall.

Had my second viewing yesterday. It was more intense than the first time, cuz i could fully concentrate on the movie. First time i was just in awe and was diverted by the impressions. And oh boy those emotional scenes still hit hard, but this time i could watch the reactions of the others, and nearly everyone had tears in their eyes.

My family had no clue what I was talking about when I said I wish it was all HFR to avoid that slowdown effect for 24.
