Also, in terms of production stuff -- it's much easier to lock down shoots for mo-cap movies. You're basically with a small crew in a giant warehouse. No access for paparazzi or anything else. The shoots are also a lot faster as well... no need to do lighting or camera moves/resets. If they wanted to keep quiet about it, Lightstorm could've been doing data-capture sessions for months now, and no one would know.

Only if they wanted to make that info public, though. I think it's very possible they think they can get more done, without distractions, by keeping quiet about it.

 

It's also possible they're still in the design phase and won't start capturing data or creating shots until later this year. Even if that's the case, it still gives them two years to get through the production/post process.

That My Entertainment World site claims they start filming in September.

I'm pretty optimistic about them hitting a 2018 date now. Seems the other studios are preparing for it.

That's the number of screens that are capable of showing 3D, not the number that actually do.

 

In 2009, my not-exactly-local theater had one 3D-capable screen. Now, all eleven are. Yet, the number of 3D screenings on a typical day has actually decreased in that time.

No it's ok, everything Cameron relates to Avatar. This D.F.P.H gives you an insite into how he acts out of the public eye.
