Not necessarily, but TM has a better shot now then it previously did. Depends on how well it performs at the box office.

[The Futurist]

Ridley never went anywhere.

 

All his movies are master classes in framing, lighting, production design and directing.

Visually Scott never misses, even with actors, he s pretty good.

 

His biggest issue lately has been the script.

 

So this movie being good is not a surprise, the book, by all account is fantastic, engaging and entertaining.

 

Scott's directing + great, engaging story & lead actor = Great movie and bo hit.

 

Simple equation really.

Haha, didn't realize that guy gave F4 a glowing review. I wouldn't worry too much about that review anyways. If the movie is faithful to the book (which it sounds like it very much is) I can see why some critics will criticize it as too light and mainstream. But that is the exact reason the movie is gonna go over $200m.
