Looks like Frozen's fucking mindblowing run in Japan will allow it top IM3 worldwide.Yes!!

 

yeah it's insane.

 

only 46m behind im3 right now.

last week it added 25m in japan and the weekend(#8) gross was biggest ever.

 

it's ow in fact is the smallest of all it's weekends:

#8 11.1m

#7 7.55m

#6 8.04m

#5 8.28m

#4 8.23m

#3 8.56m

#2 8.53m

#1 7.53m

Speaking of which, hey a2k do you have the wknd numbers of Titanic in Japan? I mean, Frozen is basically going to be another Titanic in Japan and it would be very interesting to see their comparison.

Frozen is not original, its an adaptation.

 

Loosely. And Titanic is based on a historical event, so there's a lot of quibbling about "original" that can be made. Frozen isn't a sequel and isn't based on a mass media property.

It doesn't have to be based on a "mass media property" to be an adaptation, merely a preexisting source. To put it another way, if its screenplay were nominated for an Oscar, it wouldn't be nominated for Best Original Screenplay.
