So, using the RTM forum polls on a 1-5 point scale conversion (A= 5, F = 1), here is how our Spider-Man films have been received:

 

 

Spider-Man 2 (2004): 4.75/10 (32 votes)

Spider-Man (2002): 4.375/5 (32 votes)

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012): 3.89/10 (92 votes)

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014): 3.39/10 (70 votes)

Spider-Man 3 (2007): 2.83/5 (35 votes)

Wow you look at the opening weekend and the second weekend number and drop and you would never of thought it had a chance at getting to $400mil.

 

 

summer weekdays.

mon to thu in week1: 14.85 + 13.51 + 10.93 + 11.65 = 50.94 ... > 42.3 2nd weekend  ^_^

Wow you look at the opening weekend and the second weekend number and drop and you would never of thought it had a chance at getting to $400mil.

There was no way TF2 wasn't going to get 400m after getting so close. Paramount was going to Puerto Rico it no matter what! :P

Disney owns all the merchandise right for Spider-man as well as TV and animated rights.  They bought out Sony's share a few years ago for about $280m plus their % of the film rights.

 

Which is one of the many reasons why when Arad made that insipid statement of Spidey having to be front and center if he were to join the Avengers, Disney/Marvel's response was the equivalent of chirping crickets.

Avi Arad's statement is such an embarrassment. No wonder Marvel/Disney didn't even bother responding.
