kayumanggi
$140.1M global for #EdgeofTomorrow led by big debuts in China ($25M in 3days), Korea ($16.6M in 5) & Russia ($8.6M in 4). — Gitesh Pandya (@giteshpandya) June 8, 2014
Squaremaster316
Did they give a worldwide total? Update: Boxoffice.com apparently got the scoop first. It shows 1.9M for TASM2, putting the WW total to little over half a mill below 700M.
kayumanggi
50 M from 3 markets.
LexJoker
Warner should have swapped EOT and TRANSCENDENCE release dates.
Claire of Themyscira
It's funny, because THE FAULT IN OUR STARS sounds like an Interstellar-eque sci-fi film and EDGE OF TOMORROW sounds like a cheesy soap opera
The Dark Alfred
I think in two weeks time EoT will be considered as a hit. It will do better WW than Elysium, Oblivion and Star Trek. 250m OS is a lock and I wouldn't rule out 100m domestically either. It's a great point that the rating will help against 22 Jump Street, we had plenty under aged kid refunds and they all went to EoT instead. Expect it to claim #1 on Tuesday.
grim22
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> In the end it looks like EOT won't be a massive flop for WB. If it gets a 2.5X multiplier WW from here (possible as TF4 is 3 weeks away) it will at least reach break-even. Could have been much worse.
bballman24
Warner should have swapped EOT and TRANSCENDENCE release dates.Do you mean JA?Even with the release date coinciding with D-day, July would've been a far better date for EoT.

grim22
I found it. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> A finish around 710M looks possible. I think it will get to around 202-205M domestic by the end of its run, and 1-2M more OS.
