The only books that should be optioned for movies are funnybooks B)

Trick question nearly all of those are owned outright by movie studios already.

Disney to buy:

  1.  Penguin Random House,
  2. Hachette
  3. HarperCollins (gotta buy out Rupert Murdoch even more)
  4. Simon & Schuster
  5. Macmillan

I'm about 200 pages into the book and I really like what I've read thus far. I have about a combined 1,250 pages or thereabouts left between It and Goldfinch to read ahead of their respective adaptations' releases in the next two weeks.

It's a Deakins flick, so I'll see it on the big screen irrespective of how the reviews turn out.

Awesome! Enjoy IT. Read it a couple years ago after having seen the movie and adored it.

This isn't doing previews that Thursday as far as I can tell.

It's also another small release for WB, at least by their standards. Looks like WB are limiting theatre counts as much as budgets these days.
