I want to make one thing clear.  I am not a troll and I have never posted so that I can be one.  I express myself and if those expressions happen to go against the norm here, that is not trolling.  I have just as much right to express myself as you do.  Your opinion about something is no more valid just because you happen to love it instead of hate it.  I don't like nor appreciate being called a troll.

It's not hard to grasp that kids love TMNT, I mean they're what propelled shit like Maleficent to success this summer.Kids inherently have poor tastes in movies, they care more about masses of color moving quickly on the screen with simple fart based humor. It's really not hard to make a movie that'll please a kid.

But kids were also the powerhouse behind GOTG and Frozen magical runs so their bad tastes sometimes pleased a lot of people here. ;)

Gotta say, baumer seems like the catalyst to all the flame wars between GOTG fans and Turtles fans. It's really fucking annoying when the only valuable discussion he wants to bring up is how much one movie sucks, but when someone claims a movie he likes sucks, he just plays the hooker with a heart of gold card and says "I never intended to provoke any negative response."

Tell you the truth I  don't mind if Turtles is a success it wasn't that great of movie but I have seen worse, and its not a surprise it has been a success to me. The Cartoon pretty much got kids to known to turtles its not like Turtles has been gone for 20 years or anything.

Just because kids like something doesn't make it bad. But TMNT is so blatantly skewed toward kids that are easily impressed (cringe-worthy one liners, fart jokes, awful-looking CGI turtles), while GotG has the whole family in mind (never felt like I was watching a kids movie with GotG).

Just by looking at the RT ratings for both, it's obvious that GotG has more going for it than just being enjoyed by little kids.

GotG appealed to adults and teens as well as kids. Same with Frozen and LEGO Movie and other acclaimed family films.

Blaming kids is a fool's game. I also see plenty of people here who enjoyed TMNT because they were big fans back in the day.
