Friday Estimates: Maze Runner: 11.25, Walk among Tombstones 4.7M , All numbers in first post

Yes, because they didn't seem good to me.  Hunger Games didn't because I don't find the idea of kids hunting down or being hunted by other kids entertaining.  Other YAs because they tend to be overfilled with melodrama and/or silly romances, and I find neither appealing. Knowing nothing about MR except what I saw in the trailer, it looks like something I would like to see.  But, again, I'm going to wait to get reports from others before making a final decision to lay down the bucks.

Well you missing alot.  Besides CF is not about hunting between kids.

Into The Storm

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $46,097,126  31.5%Foreign:  $100,400,000  68.5% = Worldwide:  $146,497,126

it hit 100 mil overseas..yeah it totally flopped alright  :)

It'll probably close with around 165-170M. Pretty good. Also:

If I Stay

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic:  $47,672,000  68.9%Foreign:  $21,500,000  31.1% = Worldwide:  $69,172,000

With Japan and Denmark still to open and an 11 M budget this is a nice little hit for WB.

Let's Be Cops is having one crazy run over here. A huge success. Into the Storm also had a solid result.

Haha, it's already the biggest comedy of the year here and it could actually end up in top 3 biggest comedies all time. Awesome legs.

did A Walk Among the Tombstones and This is Where I Leave you open in any foreign markets this weekend?

I'm curious about their overseas performance..since their domestic is boring and within the lowest range of expectations

I know Tombstones opened in the UK.

First thing you should do is praise the two producers of Maze Runner.  They also kept the budgets low on Twilight and Fault in Our Stars.  They are on a roll right now, and no one knows who they are.

Well, it kind of is.  I mean, that's the meat and potatoes of the film.

CF became more of killing amongst adults now instead of kids.  Something that Ruthie detests.  And the games became a sideshow.  It was now more rebellion and showing Panem.

That's what really impressing me. Tightly managed budget, yet the movie looks (and seems) better than more expensive films.

it looks 2 times better than the 95 mil Percy Jackson for example..with almost one third of the budget

yet some blockbusters cost up to 250 mil

there is absolutely no justification for a movie to have a budget bigger than 150 mil $..the main problem is the unbelievably overpaid actors/directors/producers

The best decision. I watched THG because the trailer semmed good. It was one of my biggest disappointments and I can't get my money back.

I'm in love with TMR trailer. And I'm so afraid of being disappointed again.

But there's a difference between this trailer and THG trailer. So i don't think I'll be disappointed.
