Friday Estimates: Maze Runner: 11.25, Walk among Tombstones 4.7M , All numbers in first post

I don't understand what it is that he dislikes about the film though.  It was quite hysterical and I don't think I'm alone in thinking that.  Just because it opened softly, doesn't mean it's not a good movie.

Loaded with cliches. That's what he said. Haven't seen the movie yet so it's difficult to judge.

I know what he said, I had the conversation with him.

And what cliches?  First of all, many films are filled with cliches, cliches are cliches because they ring true.  Secondly, there is a lot of originality in the film as well, including a nice little shocking twist at the end.

Yes, TMR coming through.  One of the only other YA type franchises where estimates have slowly increased all weekend.  That Saturday bump means we've got some mainstream cross over.  I have 6 other friends who saw the film this weekend (2 had read the book) and all of them said they damn near loved it.  Have a feeling WOM can push this a little higher than the typical YA glass ceiling allows.  Hoping it can make a run for 100, but either way we're getting The Scorch Trials and that's all that matters.

Subers is quite snobby with his movie preferences especially comedies

Glad The Maze Runner made it to 32M, the initial forecast of 24M was really disappointing, good thing it didn't happen.

That's also solid for This is Where I Leave You, with just $19.6M budget, it will be profitable in the end.
