LexJoker
Now it's time to pick your reaction to the IS drop: A.) It dropped 60%? OMG, that's the same first Monday drop as Gravity, amazing legs coming!! OR B.) It dropped 60%? OMG, that's the same first Monday drop as Pometheus, it's dead. Both sides should be happy. But Prometheus was summer. Tues increase will be muted because of high IMAX share. Could BH6 be back to no. 1 tomorrow?

spizzer
I've currently got IS headed for 158M and BH6 headed for 216M ATM using Skyfall/WiR comps. Edited November 11, 2014 by Spizzer - Manav

Prometheus is summer. This is also the night before Remembrance Day so the drop should be a bit softer. If you go by 2008 (last time RD was on a Tuesday) and you use The Changeling as a barometer, then IS should go up by about 45% Tuesday and then drop about the same amount on Weds. BH6 should go up by about 80-90% Tues and then drop by about the same on Weds.

mahnamahna
I doubt IS will have WOM like skyfall though. It'll have better legs than Skyfall (only had a 3x multi) Only one of Nolan's films had less than a 3x multipler... and that was TDKR. Considering it opened to $160 million and the shooting occured its opening day, that's understandable. With how low the OW is, a 4x-4.5x isn't really that impossible. 3.5x-4x is probably more likely though.

If the shooting had a negative effect on TDKR's OW, wouldn't that improve the legs?
Mango
If the shooting had a negative effect on TDKR's OW, wouldn't that improve the legs? This is a really controversial subject matter but one can argue that the shooting pretty much effected the box office for a couple of months. Things didn't really completely rebound until WiR and Skyfall.

Rudolf
Thats a 60% drop. Pretty good. Thor dropped 52% last year Twilight4 64% Gravity 60% (October) Inception 47% (July)

TServo2049
Last year, Veteran's Day actually fell on a Monday, so the drop for Thor was muted. (Other years, it's spread out over the actual day, and the "observed" Monday - or does that still happen?) Rudolf
so same drop as gravity well if Baumer is right, it was helped by Vet's day (how much ever that is worth)
