grim22
Remember Christmas 2007? 2009? 2013? Hmm, those were the days. The good ole days. This Christmas went from a very crowded one for releases to one of the least crowded. Almost reminds me of Christmas 2010 with wide releases that are not exactly appealing to every demographic, which limits family moviegoing. Dan9
I thought this movie was getting "best of the trilogy" reception and now I'm hearing fans and critics hate it, what happened? It's actually a good film. Eons better than the other two hack jobs. Well I thought it was the worst in the trilogy so... It's not going to have legs anything like ROTK. The reviews aren't great and even for those who say it's better than the last two, there aren't that many who believe it's significantly better. It's just 'more of the same' and those who weren't convinced by the last two are hardly going to turn out for that. kitik
It's always tough to judge Wednesday openings. They don't all behave the same. Not only is it a case of people not even knowing something is opening on Wednesday vs Friday, but this time of year people are trying to finish up school and whatever else, they don't have time for movies on weekdays. That said, a total below Hobbit 2 is definitely on the table here.
