Blankments
Just rewatched the original SpongeBob movie. Still a fantastic comedy. I will see the new one today if my money is transferred in time.

Blankments
I actually have a really funny story about the first SpongeBob Movie. When I was 9, I really wanted to see the movie, even if I didn't have cable. My SpongeBob love was based just off the DVDs you could get out at the library. My dad naturally didn't want to take me to it, and by the time I got around to it (since Incredibles had come out around the time), it was only in a theater half an hour from my house. Still, I didn't want to miss this movie, but how would I get my dad to take me? I got my dad to sign a sheet of paper, and then a half hour later, returned to him with a contract I wrote around the signature. The best part is he honored it, and I saw SpongeBob that day. One of my favorite childhood movie memories. blanks I thought you were going on a forum break? Came back for the weekend just because I was rooting hardcore for SpongeBob. After Estimates are out tomorrow, I'll be gone for a couple more weeks.

Fullbuster
So even in the US Spongebob beats Jupiter Ascending. It's quite funny!
Blankments
The power of nostalgia in today's generation is ridiculously powerful. I'm surprised there hasn't been more psychological/sociological studies about it. It's crazy that a show that's been running for fifteen years with new episodes consistently has people like me and Jandrew wanting to see it because "it looks like an episode from when we were kids, not the bad new episodes."

Mango
Well with Spongebob being a huge success I can only imagine Paramount/Nickelodeon are prepping for the Nicktoons Cinematic Universe about right now.

I never watched much of that, I think it came out around the time I pretty much stopped watching Nick aside from Avatar. We should have an Invader Zim reboot.
