pretty much lines up with my prediction of 480. already said before that anyone who thinks that's underwhelming is a lunatic.

Guarantee there will be a WWW thread if it misses 500m.  But to me, the novelty of all the superheroes being in the same movie was spent with the last movie and the trailers look really generic and formulaic so I wouldn't be surprised if it does miss 500m.

Totally the same. You just don't like the comparison, but it's there. Too blinded by fanboyitos.

I'm not a fanboy but I share that opinion. Under 500 is absolutely nuts.

Just listen to it.  You can always find random predictions on the thread.  This is always worth a listen.

Maybe some people don't have 3 hours to spare?

I agree! Regardless of whether you like Avengers or not, the likelihood of the sequel decreasing by more than $75 million DOM is fairly low.

Under $500 million for Avengers 2 is something I would have predicted... if it were released last year or in 2011  both of those years will go down as doomsday for blockbusters in terms of doing $275 million+ DOM.

In a year where American Sniper and Furious 7 could both do $350 million DOM roughly... and where SpongeBob 2 does $160 million+... and where Home, the film expected to do $50-60 million over its entire run, is on its way to $170-190 million... I can't predict anything less than $550 million.
