Furious 7's Chinese gross is well ahead of the domestic number, but $383M is a typo. It was sitting at $363M after Saturday, and last sunday's gross was like $11M. My point is the opening day was a lot more frontloaded than TA1, which usually means the rest of the weekend will fall even further behind. That is exactly what we're seeing. What makes them so special aside from a funeral ending for F7??? FF7 doesn't end in a funeral. And one of the main characters died before finishing filming so this film has become a tribute to him makes it a novelty.
