A while ago was thinking from tracking PP2 22-25m, MMFR 16-19, AOU 9-10m, not far out from what Variety been given 20m for FR could certainly be on cards given it should be big in eve but having said that some R's have strong matinees

Pitch Perfect 2 only cost $45m which it'll make back easily and then some, looks like Universal will looking at green lighting a third film,

Mad Max should be also successful for WB, not sure if we'll get a sequel but I'm thinking if it does $400-450m, they may consider it

UPDATED 4:53 PM: It’s still early, but it looks as though Pitch Perfect 2 is headed over $50M as matinees are very strong today; that would be right in line with Deadline’s estimates from earlier in the week. As it stands now, it looks like Universal could end up with the top opener of all time for a musical as it might end up with a low $20M Friday. Mad Max: Fury Road is still moving along at the same pace we expected for a possible mid-to-high $40M 3-day take. Stay tuned.

In AUS Fri PP2 2nd Fri beat MMFR, NZ MMFR slightly ahead, UK looking at pp2 #1 Fri and Friday result be not to far under MMFR cume (prev+fri), GER 2 days PP2 looking at about 65% ahead of MMFR at this point

 

I guess that's Box Office and not admissions, right? And does PP2 include wednesday-previews?
