Wknd: 69.4m

My BSG predict of 185m (which was one of the higher ones) might not be high enough.

What are the chances MMFR gets a sequel? hardy says he has signed on to do 2-3 more(dr which number he said ) and the writer has already written the script for the next two.

 

I'd say pretty high. I doubt the studio would of expected more than a $40mil OW for this.

Mad max was going to do 40 million with added buzz from reviews.

If it just a normal film it likely do low 30s but it's not.

A $40+mil opening weekend is under performing?, i doubt anyone would of predicted an opening that high a few months ago.

Meh result for MMFR considering the budget and the incredible reviews. It just doesn't have a huge audience. I'm sure it will do really well in rentals and streaming though.

I assume he/she was just referring to it coming in on the lower end of RTH's $16M to $19M early Friday projection.
