Between Unbroken, Selma, 50 Shades and now Pitch Perfect 2, female directors have been on fire during the last 6 months.

Movietickets.com is such a good indicator of box office. PP2 has been mafssive on there.

Unbroken was meh

Fifty shades was trash

Selma should have been a much bigger hit.

However they all made money so yeah it's fine.

27.8m is stunning, I was optimistic but not THAT optimistic.

Fri: 27.8m

Sat: 24.5m

Sun: 17.1m

Wknd: 69.4m

My BSG predict of 185m (which was one of the higher ones) might not be high enough.

What are the chances MMFR gets a sequel? hardy says he has signed on to do 2-3 more(dr which number he said ) and the writer has already written the script for the next two.

I'd say pretty high. I doubt the studio would of expected more than a $40mil OW for this.

It's sad but not surprising that Mad Max underperformed. It's too weird for a general audience.

Yeah, Babadook was better than most of those. But I meant box office.

The PPCU is looming.

Happy for Elisabeth Banks.

She s a cool and smart gal.

its good for her too since this is her directorial debut of a feature film since Movie 43 doesn't count Edited by Maxmoser3

A $40+mil opening weekend is under performing?, i doubt anyone would of predicted an opening that high a few months ago.
