The reshoots are something else

Apparently you never see anyone say "Victor von Doom", like watch their mouth say it. It's 100% ADR

How late in the process did they change the name of one of the main characters?

Aw man, I just got out and I forgot to watch for that!

Tranking won't become a thing

This is too unique a set of circumstances, too singular an event

This is once in a lifetime stuff, guys

Agreed. It's this generation's "Heaven's Gate" as far as a total, expensive fiasco goes.

Oh, now you've done it...ranking of the summer films:

Top 5:

1) Jurassic world

2) Trainwreck

3) Spy

4) Self Less

5) Ant-Man/Rogue Nation

That's an interesting list Baumer, given that you once said you don't find female comics to be funny.

No, it really isn't.

Seriously, it's just...not.

F4 could make 0 dollars at the box office and not match the utter bomb that movie achieved.

I predict that Fantastic Four will hold up surprisingly normal during weekdays due to terrible word of mouth driving the movie then ultimately it falling 67% weekend 2.

Fantastic Four

2.7

8.60

8.20 (-4.7%)

6.15 (-25%)

2.46 (-60%)

3.20 (+30%)

2.14 (-33%)

1.82 (-15%)

7-day total = 35.28

Friday + 45% - 2.64

Saturday +25% - 3.30

Sunday -25% - 2.50

weekend 2) - 8.44 (-67%) total - 43.70

I agree that F4 will most likely not drop 70+%. Comparable films that broke the 70% barrier had mitigating circumstances that hurt their 2nd weekend performances. Star Trek Nemesis had Christmas issues and Hellboy 2 had TDK. F4's word of mouth has gotten around in record time, deflating its OW, while Nemesis's WOM didn't get around fast enough to hurt its OW anymore than the trailers and Insurrection had already.

It's difficult to fall very hard when you're already at the bottom(relatively when compared to other big budget SH flicks). I think a 60-65% drop is in order.

Loving that MI5 number. Saw it today.... pretty good. Deserves as much as it can get.

Floptastic Four is crumbling, no doubt! It's as if the FF & MI5 Friday numbers have been reversed.
