It's silly to think people aren't aware of reviews on websites like rotten tomatoes and decide to see or not to see a movie.

 

I think the trailers were so underwhelming they had made their decision before the reviews.

I would have liked to see Trank's original vision of this being a horror-like film with elements of The Fly, with the characters looking at their mutation with fear, and then mastering it and coming of age. It turned out to be a horror any way.
