I looked at the other cars from that day since you can't really see it in the picture above, but they all have Hungarian licence plates. Wouldn't they have Russian ones if they were supposed to be used as props for the movie? Based on the tags and the other pictures it seems more like they had a car parade the day before Red Sparrow set up shop there for the day.

Correct. They had authentic looking Moscow buses that are very typical for modern day Moscow in other pictures. As well as distinctive street signs haha.

 

I'll put this in spoiler tags - my concerns based on SS's review of the Singer draft are that

they tried to simplify things WAY too much and in turn cut out or changed the bits that actually made the story so interesting.

Let's just hope that Haythe's draft is a bit different. There are certain parts they just can't leave out. Or shouldn't at least.

JLaw is a great casting because she has a Russian/Slavic facial structure. It isn't like when they cast an obvious Irish to play a Spaniard or whatever.

So um that screenplay draft is a fucking travesty. Here's hoping Haythe and Lawrence actually went back to the damn book.

Would seem like they have based on the little info and pictures we have. Hopefully they'll keep sticking to the book more than Singer's awful awful draft. A draft that didn't resemble the book much at all.
