The French made Stewart  an indie darling/magnet.

I can't remember the last time I saw French Stewart in a movie. i had no idea he was indie royalty maybe the movies were just too small for me.

Personal Shopper from 2017 has an 80% on RT.  And she got great reviews for her performance in it. Stewart has done well on the indie scene.  Her problem is she's never done well performance wise in blockbusters. I just don't know if she has the right energy for blockbusters.

I just checked RT and all her latest fresh movies on RT have rotten scores from the public. All of them! There's definitely a disconnect there. The public smells a phony

That's because she is playing in tough to digest indies. Not trying to defend her blockbuster performances because they are very bad but the mass public doesn't like French arthouse films 9.5 times out of 10.

everything about every kristen stewart performance reminds me of every kid in my drama class at school.

is every kid in your drama school: wooden, monotone, can't emote, looking constipated?

curse the french!!!!

no, but seriously when was her last hit-box office or critical?  she's not an asset for this movie

Personnal Shoper, Certain woman, Clouds of Sils Maria, Still Alice have all been success all around or in some ways.

Kristen Stewart’s new status is so confusing: “Stewart is BRILLIANT in this movie that nobody has heard of or seen”. It’s like her acting ability is unverifiable.

We underestimate how important second movies are in a franchise.

First movie needs to do good for sequel, sequel needs to do good for a third movie. A bad second movie can kill a franchise very quickly like what happened with Full Throttle.

That new tv show didn't do good either (canned after 4th episode), so I guess they want to try movies again with the brand.

I love the Charlies Angels films, especially Full Throttle

(it’ll be interesting to see how many new fans those films gain all of a sudden just so people can attack the reboot, lol).

But yikes that casting. Very uninteresting.

And Elizabeth Banks being the director makes me cringe too.
