blackspider
This thing is actually going to challenge and potentially pass TPM in admissions. Didn't think a movie would ever be able to do that.
peludo
Well, Avatar done. What would be the next remarkable hit? 100 million admissions? 1 billion? Just to think about it seems crazy. All I can say is THANK YOU, STAR WARS. Because of films and because of this monetary orgy.

baumer
Won't it be brilliant to see this make 250.005 mill opening weekend?

Has this ever even happened before? 3 hours ago, Biggestgeekever said: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/weekends/pastrecords.htm According to this, it hasn't happened since Jaws was released. Jurassic Park came close to beating E.T.'s first theatrical gross, like within $2M of it. Star Wars didn't break the OW record?

misafeco
I thought we're done comparing everything to THG. It's boring.
somebody85
I think a better tagline would have been "Come on baby, hold together". Would love to see the actuals at 250 or higher tomorrow. Definitely think it will finish somewhere between 245-250 for the weekend which is just mind blowing. 250 would look so cool though! Hoping this stays at the high end of rths estimates.
