Sarcasm is an acquired taste online, you either get it or you don't. He wasn't being (mostly) serious & made that clear. We all know TFA has done insane incredible things up to this point. Demand is finally catching up with it a bit ESP now that the holidays are over but that's to be expected.

Bad news is it could've been even higher had this week not been horrible for the yuan/$. It's not clear how much of a difference it would be but it's more than a few tickets.

JW is probably not the best comparison for midnights. It opened on a weekday in China and despite its low OD, it had a phenomenal multiplier from great WOM.

Was hoping the Revenant would break and do really well this weekend. I always thought it looked really good. Plus, I like Leo. 

 

I still think TFA will squeak out the win this weekend, but just barely.

I love that Domhnall Gleeson was in a bunch of movies this year, all of them acclaimed, and he really didn't have much to do any of them (except for Ex Machina since he was the lead)
