Math isn't a strong suit for Deadline. It's a 5.8% drop for 3 day and 30% increase over 4 day. Strong late legs continue for SW7. Should hit high 930s with a shot at 940M+.

Anyways, Deadpool actually ended up doing 13.8M for Thursday previews at my theatre, and 29.7M for Friday proper so 43.5M Friday. And then I saw Rth's update, but I wasn't quite as shocked.

 

Zoolander did only 6.4M today, but probably 1/10th of that was people buying tickets trying to sneak into Deadpool. Meanwhile, how to be single actually sorta over performed and did 9.3M tonight.

Saw an early evening DP show. Pretty full, but not completely sold out. However, when I left, the theater lines were absolutely packed. Evening shows on the Left Coast might have pushed it higher than reported numbers, perhaps?

 

I believe that it's in the top ten for superhero opening days. Which is unreal.

 

A month or two ago, weren't people thinking it might come in below 2oolander?
