Weekend Estimates (Page 25): Zootopia 73.7M | London Has Fallen 21.71M | Deadpool 16.4M | WTF 7.6M

Recommended Posts

Wow for "Zootopia".  That's a crazy number.  I thought the marketing was good but Wow.   "Kung-Fu Panda 3" I would of thought satisifed family audiences but it seems they wanted even more.    I guess decent for "London has Fallen" considering what the first movie did but it's down from the frist movie's OW by close to 10 Million.   That's not a good sign for legs.   Congrats to "Deadpool" on getting 300 Million, amazing run.   "Gods of Eygpt" is DOA, it's over.  Stick a folk in it.

I can't get over the last joke from Zootopia. I was just spit my soup all over the place because when it crossed my mind a few minutes ago

Once again, proving you're a 73-year-old man trapped in the body of a 15-year-old.

Last 5 animated films I watched in theaters were:

~ Zootopia

~ Kung-Fu Panda 3

~ Inside Out

~ The Boy and the Beast

~ Minions (...)

I skipped The Good Dinosaur even though I was freaking hyped for it because the reviews just turned me off.  That's something I need to work on: reviews shouldn't deplete the amount of hype I have for a film; no matter how bad it is because at the end of the day, they're just opinions.

Wow. I didn't think listing my last five animated films would inspire a nation.

"Kung-Fu Panda 3" I would of thought satisifed family audiences but it seems they wanted even more.

Huh? Five weeks apart and KFP3 didn't exactly blow the doors off. Inside Out and Minions made nearly $700m being three weeks apart.

Ethan you need to watch Failure to Launch. It's the movie in which McConaughey still lives with his parents Bradshaw and Kathy Bates at almost 40 and so they hire not-quite-a-prostitute SJP to seduce him and encourage him to move out and in the process ends up breaking her rule of not having sex with her clients and !shocker! falls for him. BCoop and his future Hangover co-star Justin Bartha plays his BFFs while Zooey Deschanel plays her sarcastic roommate.

The premise of the movie is definitely something that would be laughable and reality-stretching in the age of social media. At the end of the movie McConaughey (who it also must be said is attacked by all different kinds of animals throughout the movie for reasons that defy description) asks papa Bradshaw why he didn't ask him to move out in the first place. He might as well had said, "because then there would be no movie, dumb-dumb!"

#1 movie ten years ago this weekend? FAILURE TO LAUNCH.

I remember seeing that on a plane to Australia. I remember jack about the movie itself though.

Edit: No wait, it was a plane to Chicago, I got the dates mixed up. The Australia trip was in 2004 and I saw Manchurian Candidate.

 I've never seen it, but I have to ask: how does she make a living? Is she supposed to be a "dancer"? Like, for real? Or is she some magical Hollywood escort that goes on dates with men but only allows a polite peck on the cheek afterwards?

It was necessary for the path to Interstellar.

Bless this movie. Ghost of Girlfriends Past was the final straw

She's made her career as being an expert who has carved a career out of being hired by parents who have grown sons still living at home (because they have low self-esteem) and want them out so they get her to meet them and start a relationship with them that reaches the point to where they move out of their parents' house and then she dumps them after her mission is accomplished. It's as odd as it sounds.
