In terms of the billion dollar mark, it will be critical to see if overseas markets show similar drops. It's not that uncommon for foreign territories to carry the bulk of a worldwide blockbuster. In fact, of the 24 billion dollar movies, only Dark Knight made more domestically than overseas, so it will be interesting to see what other territories pull in. When will we hear about those markets?

Nintendo has all of that cash that thy saved, so even if they are in a bad position, the company is cash rich. Which is too bad because they'd be a nice takeover target for Disney with all of the IP that Nintendo has like Mario and Link. But, with all of that cash, Nintendo would never sell the company.

Disney and Nintendo together sounds kind of scary.

Still surprised Nintendo went with Universal for their theme park.

TDK had some exciting chase scenes and a funny Joker. The entire first hour of BvS is people arguing with each other

And the very last scene is very kid friendly with Gordon talking to his kid the way he does.

It's been dropping significantly in a lot of the bigger markets across Europe and Asia. Latin America has been the only region with much more friendly drops.

Wait til we see the Saturday number :sadben:

40% bump for 21m..at least. That is what it needs to get to 50m (15 + 21 + 14) with last Sunday's -33.3% drop.

Folks expect Sunday to have a >35% drop. So might need ~22m to be certain of 50m.

Nevertheless, sub-21m will call for another meltdown.

Always said based on past data that there is a strong correlation RT ratings and legs, especially with cbm

opening above $150m.

TDK, TA, TDKR, AOU, IM3 and then Spiderman3 legs are all ranked on par with their ratings which also correlate the general audience rating.

That said i thought that BvS will be the first movie going against the trend but it may end up the last one movie on that list when it comes to legs, just on par with its own critical rating.

Averaging the critic and audience score into a single score gives a good indication of how a movie was received and the quality.

At least for superhero movies.

To be fair, this sloppiness is what makes the Nolan trilogy endearing to me. He shoots few takes and obviously pays little regard to extras, so no more dead cops is like the best thing ever

You think Saturday's number will be low??? Jesus, by Sunday night, we'll be asking what the fuck went wrong with this, if we haven't already officially... :sadben:

We're not.

That being said, it's clear Reviews/WOM were irrelevant during it's OW but killed its legs.

Back to Nolan talk...
