BvS is surpassing MoS and IM2 therefore it's a success to DCU. Reviews might hurt MoS 2 happening but looking ahead the film provides solid bases, the reactions towards Baffleck and WW were overwhelmingly positive.

I don't think merely surpassing other movies is something to brag about considering the expectations that were put upon this movie.

I referenced the sixth sense above because people had to go back and see how they had been convinced that what they thought they saw wasn't what they actually saw.

BvS is going to benefit from that same phenomenon. Just not quite on the same scale.

When though? When will it benefit? It wasn't last week, it isn't this weekend either. It's going to start shedding theaters.

The sixth sense is a lot like Inception where people had to go back and watch the film so they can pick up on things that they didn't understand the first time they watched it. In both cases people walked out saying that the movies were good so they were more inclined to watch it again to better understand.

BvS is a movie that many people didn't like or were indifferent to and therefore won't care to go back and watch it to try to understand anything...mostly because who wants to suffer through a 2.5 hour movie they didn't like/enjoy the first time.

Have they said yet if there will be a theatrical release of the directors cut?

Ugh

Ugh indeed. She gets the worst reviews when she teams up with her husband haven't seen The Boss yet but Tammy was easily her most demeaning role to date...and she co-wrote it!

When it's rereleased as part of a double-header with BvS 2.

I'd stop listening to your source, he/she has you convinced it's going to all of a sudden sprout magic legs.

Depends on a lot of factors. I will just say it won't fall off a cliff as some people hope it will. Moving on.

A theatrical release of the directors cut isn't saving this movie and by the time it comes out people won't care to go watch it because there are going to be a ton of other movies they can watch instead.
