I thought the trailer for the boss was absolutely horrible. None of the joke's resonated with me at all. And yet all the jokes in the movie were actually pretty good. There was a part at the beginning where I was starting to wonder if I was actually going to get up and leave and that was because the first 15 minutes just didn't work for me. And then all the sudden it just switches into high gear and it's pretty much laugh out loud funny for the rest of the movie. I think it's going to have pretty good word of mouth as well as the audience really seem to be laughing with it as well and I heard a lot of talking and good remarks for it on the way out.

That is what is great about making some of these films more about psychological drama and less cgi action. Production costs are easier to control and you can produce a more compelling story. One that relies on plot, character development and acting performances. I call it anti-Transformering.

Good to hear, I don't mind McCarthy but I've only liked a couple of her movies and I thought the trailer for this was awful

Hardcore Henry is batshit crazy. At first, the first person gimmick makes your head hurt a bit, but you get used to it. The movies has tons of dark humor, I laughed a lot. Sharlto Copley did his thing and it worked. The action in insane, the movie never stops. The story works well enough to drive the action. It is a cult classic for the ages. It will have a massive following online. I think it is so different from everything else that you need to see it. Hail Haley Bennett.

Everything I have seen McCarthy on since Bridesmaids was pretty funny. I have never seen Tammy or that comedy with Bill Murray, tho.

What I liked about Spy was the fact that McCarthy's character wasn't a bumbling idiot. She was actually a pretty good spy surrounded by a bunch of condescending (male) buffoons.
