To be fair, the main BvS poster has Batman and Superman's faces inches away from each other looking like they are about to kiss. But mostly it's because mega-event movies upon which an entire cinematic universe rests upon that are poorly-reviewed like this is a pretty rare occurrence. Unfortunately, yes, and it can extend beyond CBMs. Really, anything where people have internalized their "brand" and so they take on an "us vs. them" position. The thing which is out of date is the absurd number of games they play each year. 160+ games....that's insane. Clearly geared toward a 1920s audience who needed the daily diversion. A team would actually need to win or lose 10 games in a row to have the same emotional impact of one NFL game on a season.
