I remember watching the short film this is based on. It was pretty creepy. It's basically the first scene of the trailer. I don't know how they'll make a whole movie around it but it looks pretty good.

Teresa Palmer and Maria Bello star in this horror film about a creature that only appears when the lights go out.  The trailer is terrific in my opinion.  James Wan is producer.  It opens up against Ice Age 5 and Star Trek Beyond.

 

Here's the trailer...and imo, this could be a sleeper for the summer.

same.  doesn't it feel like its been years since something out of the genre really left an impression?  I was a big fan of It Follows but I just wish an incredible slasher film could come back and reinvent the game.

Meh, these movies all look the same to me. Just personal taste though of course. The same way superhero movies all look the same to some people I guess.
