Whoever assembles it will obviously have to lay some ground rules, such as LOTR being counted as a trilogy and the Hobbit as another.

Leave LOTR and TF. The others are unworthy anyway (I'm okay with SW as long as we talk about the PT)

That suggests that this top 100 is a potentially great place for you to find films you like. It currently has a 82% success rate

I am kind of afraid though that my expectations for it might be too high for it to live up to it....

Kalo
Lord of the Rings Hobbit X-Men X-Men First Class Captain America Iron Man Spider-Man Superman (If you replace Superman III with Returns, which is kind of a sequel to II anyways it makes for a great trilogy) The Dark Knight Bourne Star Wars Star Wars Prequel Narnia Pirates of the Caribbean The Matrix Indiana Jones Shrek Hunger Games Twilight Harry Potter 1-3 Harry Potter 6-8 Toy Story Rocky The Karate Kid Back to the Future Transformers well that's over 20. not all good movies though Still haven't seen Godfather III, Alien 3, Terminator 3, Mad Max 3 or Jurassic Park III. If we go by franchises instead: Die Hard Harry Potter Lethal Weapon Predator Highlander The Hunger Games Divergent Before (Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight ) Transformers MCU DCU And so on and on. There are plenty more, older ones too. I get your point though, as many of those wouldn't be exactly liked by lots of people. Still, it would be fun anyway.
