61% on RT is "warm reviews"?

I have nothing against JLaw, I actually really like her and I'm certainly rooting for Passengers, but I don't see how you can deny that she's had somewhat lackluster BO run lately.

Joy in metacritic = 56.

Joy's average score in rt = 6.3

Yes, warm.

If with Jen is lackluster, without Jen would be a BOMB.

Was NOT expecting Sausage Party to have an increase from Friday minus previews. Very very good for it, looking forward to following its run. Will be shocked if we don't see Sausage Party Harder dated by the end of the month.

Even with the weekdays I had a feeling the 2nd weekend would be near 40 million then 50 million.

It's the same as it was with Batman v Superman. After it's opening weekend, so many were convinced that Batman v Superman was easily going to cross a billion. It made over $400 million in only five days and they didn't count on word of mouth killing any chance of that before it really started. I think the same will happen with Suicide Squad.

Actually it's pretty easy to tell the difference between Reynolds and Gosling given their different career paths. True story: I used to confuse Ryan Reynolds and Dane Cook all the time back when the latter was actually a thing (and thank god we're past that).

You must have been really pissed off Watchung Waiting :)

I think War Dogs is headed for an opening in the $15M area at most so I'm not sure.

I am not expecting much either. Plus WOM will be toxic if what I think is true. The whole marketing comedy is trying to sell it as a comedy. Am I the only one who thinks it won't be a comedy at all? I mean, it will have a few jokes here and there, but overall I am thinking it is something more like Pain & Gain.

Jlaw was the reason DOFP was successful? Hold on I'm gonna need a minute because that's one of the funniest things I've read in a while

She helped to give a bump in franchise. I never said she was the ONLY reason. It's very different.

Pete's Dragon is the 10th worst opening ever for a film in 3,700 theatres.

There have been 191 films in 3700+ cinemas.

The Dragon looked amazing, the movie on the other hand was so boring.

Considering it's a Todd Philips movie, I'd be surprised if it was anything but a comedy.

Whether it'll actually be funny remains to be seen.
