Could Cap 4 really be ready without any reshoots? That's pretty rare for a Marvel project. The way the strikes going, I would guess that Deadpool ends up in that Christmas slot when it's all said and done.

If the strikes don't end in time for them to do the normal MCU reshoots for a May 3 release then there are much bigger problems than this coming out.

Well, they've completed principal photography, but so long as the strike ends before the end of the year they should have plenty of time for any reshoots they need to do.

I suspect another studio will swoop in and take the May 3 spot since Apes is already set for Memorial Day weekend + isn't big enough of an IP to kick off summer movie season. Maybe Godzilla x Kong to allow for some breathing room in the currently packed March.

If Deadpool is pushed back, chances of Disney putting The Marvels in May is greater than leaving the timeframe open for other studios.

Unless Marvel does not want Brave New World in that May 3 slot for some reason that will move back. All indications are that The Marvels is staying put with it's Nov 10th date. But things do change,

They're already aggressively promoting The Marvels (trailers, Entertainment Weekly cover story, etc.) so it's looking pretty locked in for November at this point. They posted their movie schedule yesterday during that meeting and the only releases they have listed for Q1+2 of 2024 are Elio, Snow White, Planet of the Apes, and Inside Out 2. Assume those are the only movies that won't be impacted by the strikes.
