peludo
Billy Wilder: The Apartment, Sunset Boulevard, Double Indemnity Alfred Hitchcock: Rear Window, North by Northwest, Vertigo Francis Ford Coppola: The Godfather I, The Godfather II, Apocalypse Now I could do the same with maybe another 15 or 20 directors. To choose just 3 is really hard.

luna
lars von trier: melancholia, dancer in the dark, breaking the waves ingmar bergman: persona, cries and whispers, through a glass darkly david lynch: inland empire, mulholland drive, eraserhead incidentally, stanley kubrick and abbas kiarostami are the other two who would absolutely have three films in my top 85 (all the movies i've rated at least "incredible"). bela tarr, werner herzog, jacques rivette and robert bresson would all have a chance at rounding out the top 100 if i could be bothered constructing a list. Goffe
Somehow it's impossible to pick just 3. These are the real Gods for me. Alfred Hitchcock: Rear Window, Lady Vanishes, Frenzy Paul Thomas Anderson: There Will be Blood, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love Christopher Nolan: The Prestige, Insomnia, The Dark Knight Rises Still God tier, but a little lower than the 3 above. Roman Polanski: The Pianist, Chinatown, Oliver Twist Gore Verbinski: The Lone Ranger, Dead's Man Chest, The RingSam Raimi: A Simple Plan, Spider-Man 2, Drag Me to Hell On course to join the directors above. Needs more movies. Asghar Farhadi: A Separation, The Past, About Elly Dennis Villeneuve: Incendies, Enemy, Arrival Keep in mind I haven't seen tons of old classics.
