Trolls: $6.99

Moana: $15.99

Does iTunes take into account total sales made or just total number of soundtracks sold when doing their ranking?

Moana was definitely a very lovely film. Might go see it again.

While I agree that WOM is helping Fantastic Beasts and that casual Potter fans are coming late to the game, I still feel like many are not taking into consideration the aging fan base. There are many diehard Potterheads who just have too many responsibilities to go to the theater yet. Imagine how many teens at the height of Potterfandom are now possibly parents working in the retail or service industries. Many were not allowed vacation over TG weekend, and won't even have time over Christmas. You're looking at many fans who want to watch the movie but won't even have time till 2017. Sure, twitter-buzz is showing very strong WOM, but some of even the most fanatic Potterfans have yet to be represented and could help late legs.

After this weekend, Doctor Strange will hit $225M if it simply matches Thor The Dark World's post-Thanksgiving weekend total.

Anything over $233M gives Strange the best superhero legs of the year (topping Deadpool's OW multiplier). Seems doable.

Just in case

if you want to see the 'single day' with the 'last week' comparison, there is a 'single day' tab at the top of the chart

Or use this:

Have fun!

New DHD projections chart is up.

Interesting that ARRIVAL has the best increase from last Friday with a great +32% increase from last Fri. Expected drop is now -7% or less, making it once again the best in the top 5 and 10. Also, ARRIVAL's PTA remains highest in top 10 except MOANA and FB. Second best increase goes to HACKSAW with an +18% from last Fri and a drop around -10-15%. Once again, this and ARRIVAL's WOM seems to be helping both films so far.

Moana is looking to be closer to Tangled than to Frozen but is still doing great. Allied is gonna be yet another write-down for Paramount, Bad Santa 2 is another lame comedy sequel no one asked for performing accordingly, and the numbers for Rules Don't Apply are just embarrassing.
