How weird is it that I have great fondness and love towards AVATAR, TFAand ROGUE ONE?

According to the last 25 pages or so, this is impossible.

I like all three too. I joke about Avatar but it's a momentous production in scale, technology, and composition.

Not all of them were worse, I have seen rather extreme fanatics in a lot of 'fandoms', including Avatar.

In my POV a fanatic not only is not a fan, he/she hurts the fandom by creating disgust or..

If a person if weak enough to let the fanbase effect their enjoyment of the film at hand, they need to grow up.

I joined these forums to simply see discussions of numbers, predictions, patterns and movies in general, not all of this mostly unrelated filler. :ohmyzod:

However, I must admit I do enjoy seeing randoms waste so much time and energy arguing online about absolutely nothing

He was amazing and everything I hoped for. :wub:

Been twice already and have a couple more viewings planned. One at the MarqE for Dunkirk goodness

I've been to Edwards twice including 12:20 IMAX showing specifically for Dunkirk. It's glorious in IMAX.

Insane filler is what happens the most. Once we derailed a Christmas numbers thread for 50-60 pages while talking about Fassbender's penis (don't ask). I still have pics.

Also, another time we destroyed a weekend thread with talk about Pokemon, which went from safe funny gifs to Pokemon porn parodies (yes, there is one).

My take on Rogue 1 is that I consider it an inferior film to TFA overall, owing to the absolutely uninteresting characters/relationships, and filler plot. But when it pops, it pops harder than TFA. Nothing in TFA thrilled me to such an extent as RO's climatic battle did.

All in all, after how safe TFA felt, RO restored my hope (pun intended) that we might eventually get a really good Star Wars film in this new batch. It's actually pumped me for Ep 8.

TFA should've renewed your hope we will see good to great Star Wars movies again. It's a masterclass on how to make a crowd pleasing, ridiculously fun blockbuster. After the dreck that were episodes 1-3, having faith restored in seeing an actual good SW movie again was badly needed. Had TFA had a mediocre reception from critics and general audiences worldwide, the rebirth of SW on the big screen could've been in jeopardy in its infancy.
