I'm 52 and have seen them all (1977, 1980, 1983, 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2015) during their first runs in theaters. Was 13 when I saw the first one in summer 1977.

I also saw the 1997 'special editions' of the first three in theaters as well.

Got tix for R1 tomorrow at 9:30! :)

I hope we don't compare the weekend drops for this to TFA. The actual placement of the holidays matters. It's drops will be bigger than TFA's, but it will have better Sunday and Monday holds for sure.

C'mon, this is BOT. The daily meltdowns and over-reactions are gonna be crazy no matter what.

Furious 7 is legit insanity. May not see a performer like that again OS in years (I think there is a case to be made Avatar 2 doesn't even get to that OS total ).

Yes, as massive as TFA was last year, it didn't really SHOCK me because i kind of expected it. The two SHOCKS last year were (a) Furious 7's OS run, and (b) Jurassic World's DOM run.  Both of those just blew my mind.

That's fair, I did make that comment off of memory but I wasn't wrong that we over predicted the OS a decent amount and the OS share % we were off even further. So I wasn't wrong on that point but you are right I should've provided the data first like Tele did.

Indeed, your memory was absolutely spot-on.

The way the conversation went, I kinda got the feeling you were pulling numbers out of the air to justify your position, rather than basing your position off what the numbers said. And it was my bad for jumping to the wrong conclusion.

But will Rogue One inspire 35% fewer meltdowns and over-reactions compared to TFA, or will be it a 50% drop?

The total of sellouts has surprised what CW finished with.
