I just wanna say, I wasn't there last year for the pre-release hype of TFA, and I'm really glad I am now.

 

It's been a blast so far, loving those various reactions from each of you

I'm 52 and have seen them all (1977, 1980, 1983, 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2015) during their first runs in theaters. Was 13 when I saw the first one in summer 1977. 

 

I also saw the 1997 'special editions' of the first three in theaters as well. 

 

Got tix for R1 tomorrow at 9:30!

I hope we don't compare the weekend drops for this to TFA. The actual placement of the holidays matters. It's drops will be bigger than TFA's, but it will have better Sunday and Monday holds for sure.

Yes, as massive as TFA was last year, it didn't really SHOCK me because i kind of expected it. The two SHOCKS last year were (a) Furious 7's OS run, and (b) Jurassic World's DOM run.  Both of those just blew my mind.

I may have seen ROTJ in first run. I went to midnights for all of the special editions and I've seen all the PT plus TFA in theatres.
