Wakanda Forever, even if it continues Phase 4's polarizing streak, is going to eat this alive. These reviews are not good enough in the streaming age. They really needed a different star, a different story less reliant on CGI and a budget far closer to the likes of Deadpool and Logan.

The Rock is in charge of the whole operations and he likely enjoyed working on Jungle Cruise with him. Simple as that really.

yrah I like this director. But he was probably a puppet for The Rock who called the shots here

The Rock was my hero as a kid obsessed with wrestling and I still think he is one of the most charismatic and likable talents in Hollywood, but it's past time for a creative reset. The thing that made Arnold so great was his desire to work with great directors on high-concept, risky stuff. The Rock seems totally averse to anything other than crowdpleasers directed by journeymen.
