Not happening. Avatar 2 is easily passing and I could see The Batman, JWD and BP2 pass this too.

I would favor this over Batman, not over the other 3 though.

Right now I see MOM as #5 for the year. Not saying 1st is impossible but I’d be pretty surprised.

You know, after watching this trailer, Tony Stark telling Steve in Civil War "they don't grant Visas to weapons of mass destruction" referring to Wanda...

quite the foreshadowing long game here

Please don't take this to mean we should start the evil vs good wanda debate again, I'm simply pointing to a "blink and you'll miss it" line Tony said many movies ago that is relevant now, thanks  :ph34r:

I doubt Batman will be stronger foreign than this, and i see no reason to think it will be considerable higher domestic either, so yeah i doubt DS2 will gross less than Batman.

Batman will be released in China of course, but honestly i have my reservations if chinese audiences will enjoy a 3 hour movie without much action.

Still, i'm pretty sure DS2 won't be the biggest movie of the year.

Twitter =/= Box Office ^^

That some of Marvel's Heros are often morally ambiguious is one of the things I like about the MCU.

A lot of people here seem to have trouble coping with charecters who are often in a gray area.

Of course there is Wanda's finest moment in the Marvel Comic books ...."NO MORE MUTANTS, EVER!".

I loved the first bit in the trailer with Dr Strange waking up night after night from having the same nightmare....that is a shout out to the very first Dr Strange story back in 1962 where a guy to whom that is happening goes to Dr Strange for help.
